India under 19 team defeated the South African under 19 team in the Under 19 World Cup being held at Kuala Lumpur. Bowling first India bowled out South Africa for 149 runs with Delhi pacer Pradeep Sangwan being the chief destroyer with 5 wickets for 44 runs.
Chasing the modest total India Colts approached cautiously and reached the target in 42 over’s. Although they lost 4 wickets while chasing but the foundation of victory was laid by the 95 runs second wicket partnership between Srivastav and Kohli.
India next face West Indies who were defeated by South Africa yesterday in their last group match in the pool stages. |
