India vs Australia at MCG Preview |
Saturday, February 9, 2008 |
India will be taking on Australia at MCG tomorrow and they will be hoping that there young batting line up comes good against the Lee inspired Australian pace attack which on Friday destroyed any chances of Sri Lanka even thinking about the win with a thumping 128 runs victory.
The pitch at MCG will be the same that was used for the game between Queensland and Victoria. Therefore the pitch will be slow and not offer much pace for the bowlers. This will be good news for Indian team and they will be banking on the top 3 batsmen to make most of the runs.
Sehwag, Tendulkar and Gambhir have all looked good in both matches but the middle order is giving Indian team all headaches. Yuvraj Singh is yet to find his feet in Australia and other batsmen Rohit Sharma, Robin Uthappa and Manoj Tiwari have looked anything but certain against the bowling.
Another worry for India is the fitness of speedster Sreesanth who is running fever. His progress will be monitored and if he is unfit to play then Piyush Chwla could make his Australian debut with pitch being on low side. |
