Sania Mirza improved here singles ranking in WTA from 31st position to 29th position. Even though she lost in the third round of Australian Open 2008 she has still made the jump. With this move in rankings Sania is now the number 1 female player in Asia.
There have been some concerns over her leg injury in Australia but Sanis is confident that she will lead India in Fed Cup tie. |
