| Sania and Mahesh Bhupathi advances to Final of Australian Open mixed doubles |

The Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi pair have kept Indian hopes alive at the Australian Open by advancing to the final of the mixed doubles event at Melbourne Park.
In the semi final the Indian pair defeated the eight seeded pairing of Nathalie Dechy of France and Andy Ram of Israel 6-4, 6-2. in the finals they will take on fifth seeded pairing of Tiantian Chu of China and Nimand Zimonjic.
Mahesh Bhupathi failed to make it to the finals of mens doubles event though. He and his partner Mark Knowles of Bahrain were defeated by eight seeded pairing of Jonathan Elrich and Andy Ram 6-4, 6-4. |
