Delhi wins Ranji Trophy |

Delhi scripted a remarkable comeback to win the Ranji trophy final match. Having conceding lead to UP in the first innings the Delhi youngster Pradeep Sangwan grabbed quick wickets today in morning to dismiss UP to 177 all out in there second innings when at one stage they were cruising at 112-2 in second innings and Suresh Raina going strong. Delhi grabbed quick wickets late in evening to stall the UP charge and today in morning they dismissed Up and just allowed 23 rus to be added.
The UP needed another miraculous performance from there seamer Praveen Kumar to have any chance of containing the Delhi team but he did not got any support from other end and in second innings the Delhi openors Gambhir and Aakash Chopra insured that they did not loose wickets to new ball.
Gautam Gambhir placed another gem of innings to score a century in the final of Ranji trophy match to go along with his century in the semi final match. Apart from Gambhir Aakash Chopra and Rajat Bhatia who both scored centuries in first innings for Delhi and Pradeep Sangwan who took 9 wickets in the match were the stars of the game. |
